Several admin options (kill players, afk monitor, tk monitor, announcements, change player to team or spectator) Shooting from hip gives lower damage claymores will hurt both teams no dogtags no headicons no nametags no nadespam player will drop weapon if shot on gun, hand or lowerarm players aim change on hit with random value On testserver will post real server once live. ![]() Registered Member #2138 Posts: 1 | Don't want to blow the wind away from your sails, but coming from someone who served in the army and fired weapons, I can say that: -"Any change of stance will distort your aim with a random value." Is a bit unrealistic. More realistic would be to increase the time it takes to bring the sights up and increase the difficulty of aiming with the sights down so that you'd actually need the sights to make the rifle point at your target accurately. -"Bleeding and bandaging" If you're bleeding enough to require medical attention you're probably more of a hinderance to your team than helpful. In real life providing medical attention is meant to prevent death rather than actually allow you to keep fighting, at least for most injuries and combat durations you will see in a game. In other words: If you're bleeding lightly enough to be able to keep fighting, you're also bleeding lightly enough to survive to the end of the round without treatment. If you're bleeding too hard to survive without medical attention then you probably need a lot of time spent on saving you and won't be able to keep fighting anyway even after treatment, therefore in a game there's no real point to implement any kind of medical treatment. -"Gunjam and unjamming your gun." Even with the "jam prone" M16, if it's "fresh from the box" (aka not 30 year old weapon" with a good magazine and good ammo, the chance for it to jam for you in a fight is very low that it isn't worth being put in a game. Not to mention realistic jams can happen for many different reasons and all have different kinds of treatments, anywhere between a tap on the magazine to nearly taking the weapon apart, depending on what actually happened, and again any kind of jam would be very rare with a "fresh" weapon, even a "jam-prone" weapon like the M16. -"Shooting from hip gives lower damage" Do I really need to comment? Hip shooting is still shooting. Same bullets, same damage. Of course aiming should be more difficult but changing the damage doesn't add any realism. -"no nadespam" How is this real? If I could nade spam in real life to kill someone you can bet I will. -"player will drop weapon if shot on gun, hand or lowerarm" Real soldiers use a sling. I could lose both arms and my weapon would still be accecible. Damage to the actual weapon is a different thing though, it likely won't function at all if it took a shot at most possible places. To sum it up, if you want to call a mod "realism", try having some connection to real life combat... Again sorry for the "flame", but that is simply required when someone makes an unrealistic mod and claims it to be a "realism" mod. | ||
